Areas
Gothenburg is the second biggest city in Sweden with approximately 590 000 inhabitants and is, just like Stockholm, beautifully located just by the sea with an archipelago. Some of the nicknames for Gothenburg is Götet, Little London and New Amsterdam. Please read more of the areas below.

Örgryte
This is one of the best areas in Gothenburg, there are a lot of older, lovely villas in this area, yet close to the city centre with great communication.

Majorna
Majorna is a very popular area and can be related with Södermalm for those who knows Stockholm. Can also be related with Malmös Möllevången. There are a lot of older buildings here with great apartments, but there are also an upcoming area for companies as well.

Linné
Linné is another very popular area in Gothenburg, also considered one of the best areas. It is mostly turn of the century apartments in the area and can be compared to Stockholm’s Östermalm/Vasastan.

Hisingen
is in fact the fifth biggest island in Sweden, yet the second most populated. Bigger companies have their offices around here, Volvo is one of the most famous. This area is full of residential potential as there is a varied housing offering of small houses, rental apartments and condominiums, urban environment and traditional rural areas. It is close to several nature and recreation areas while at the same time it is well connected to the centre of Gothenburg from the larger residential areas.

Askim
Is considered one of the best areas as there are good communications and beautiful surroundings with the archipelago. There are a lot of houses in the area, and most of the apartments rented out are a part of a villa. It is a big, popular beach here that gets very crowded in the summer.

Western Gothenburg
This area is located just by the sea with beautifully scenery that only the west coast can offer! There are mostly houses in this area, but there are some apartment buildings as well. There are good communications to the city centre, mostly with buses but with the tram as well.

Angered
are in the northern-east part of Gothenburg and has been their own urban since 2015. This is considered one of the less good areas of Gothenburg, therefor the rent may be a little less than in the rest of Gothenburg.

Mölndal
has their own municipality and hospital, but are really close to Gothenburg, just 15 minutes from the city centre of Gothenburg. There are a lot of companies located in Mölndal and therefore also popular to live in.
